The sleeping beauty wakes up
My dear readers,
When the week is difficult, it happens that I contact Havas travel agency in order to leave the capital to an unknown destination at the last minute. Having the habit that I call their service for this type of request, it is the same two people, Gaelle and Inès extremely helpful and welcoming people who receive me. They offered me this time a trip to Bordeaux, so I made my bag and started on adventure.
It was nice to finish the year in beauty by discovering the most beautiful monuments of Bordeaux and especially its Christmas market! It was a rather short trip, only two days, however it offered pleasant activities that allowed me to wit my mind.
Arrived in the heart of Bordeaux in the morning, a local guide revealed all the mysteries of the world capital of wine. He explained that the city has benefited from an ambitious redevelopment project to highlight its exceptional architectural heritage. This redevelopment allowed inhabitants and tourists to be more amazed by the beauties of the city such as the cathedral Saint-André, the basilicas Saint-Michel and architectural wonders that helped to Bordeaux to be the most trendy city in the world today.
Bordeaux reflection of French culture
Since 2007, almost half of the city has been inscribed on the Unesco World Heritage List! The city sees its resurrected atmosphere thanks to many avenues become pedestrian. I used this advantage to admire the Christmas markets and taste the local products presented by the artisans I finished the evening at the Cabaret l'Ange Bleu, the biggest Cabaret in France, where I had something to eat while marveling at this dinner show.
The second day was also rich in discovery, with the visit of the famous city of St-Emilion, also classified by Unesco. This delightful medieval town perched on top of a hill and dominating the vineyards of great renown stunned me. This city has preserved many vestiges of a rich past of its Art and its history... It was a fabulous walk.
When I got back to Paris, I felt airy, my mind filled with beautiful images, the lungs filled with pure air and the mouth amazed by the flavors that discovered in this city of good living and lover of good products. I can only advocate a walk in the cobbled streets of Bordeaux and St-Emilion in order to aerate your mind.
I warmly thank Gaelle and Inès because I feel reassured to solicit this agency, which surprises me at each circuits that i did and which offers me an exceptional service. Do not forget dear readers, you have to know how to take your time, slow down, follow your instincts and enjoy the enjoyment of life!
See you soon!
